“The future we want” – Postage stamp design contest for children and art students

  • In 2022 the United Nations in Armenia will celebrate its 30th anniversary and to mark the date, the UN in Armenia, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the Ministry of High-Tech industry an HayPost announces a postage stamp design contest entitled “The future we want”.

The applicants are invited to sumbit a design for a post stamp that is their depiction of the ‘future they want’.

CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR CHILDREN

  • All children up to 18 years old residing in Armenia can participate in the contest;
  • Each participant can submit only one design.
  • Participants confirm that they are the authors of the submitted works (In case of plagiarism, the participant will be disqualified).
  • The contest starts the day this announcement is published: Friday, 26 Novmber 2021.
  • The deadline for the sumbission of the applications is Sunday, 12 December 2021.
  • Applications must be sent to the following e-mail address stampcontest30@gmail.com. The subject line should contain name, surname, age and school name.
  • The applications must include the following documents:
  1. High quality picture of the postage stamp design in JPEG or PNG formats in size,
  2. Digital copy of the participant's identification document,
  3. A photo of the participant,
  4. Contact phone number, name and surname of a parent or legal guardian,
  5. Completed form on partial copyright permit to use an artwork created by children (the form is attached to this announcement)
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • The winners will be selected by a jury with representatives from all involved parties, as well as famous Armenian art specialists.
  • The winning design will be used for production of a new postage stamp dedicated to UN’s 30th anniversary in Armenia and the winner will be invited to participate in the high-level stamp redemption ceremony.
  • The first five winners of the contest will also receive gifts from the UN Armenia.
  • Participants are asked to keep the original works for 3 years or to submit the original to the organizers in order to facilitate exhibition in future.

  • Students of art universities over 18 years old and living in Armenia can participate in the contest.
  • Each participant can submit only one design.
  • Participants confirm that they are the authors of the submitted works. In case of detection of copyright infringement, the participant will be disqualified.
  • The contest starts the day this announcement is published: Friday, 26 Novmber 2021.
  • The deadline for the sumbission of the applications is Sunday, 12 December 2021.
  • Applications must be sent to the following e-mail address stampcontest30@gmail.com. The subject line should contain name, surname, age and university name.
  • The applications must include each of the below mentioned documents:
  1. Postage stamp design submitted as a high quality PNG picture or a PDF file,
  2. Digital copy of the participant's identification document,
  3. A photo of the participant,
  4. Contact number,
  5. Completed form on partial copyright permit to use the artwork created by the participant (the form is attached to this announcement)
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.
