UN Day in Armenia 2019

UN Armenia had the privilege of celebrating the UN 74th anniversary, recognizing the important work the UN family undertakes in Armenia and across the world with international and national partners, to achieve Agenda 2030 and the SDGs.

It was a particular honour to have UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo and Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan joining the celebration. This special evening at the National Gallery began with the Think Equal talk moderated by the UN Resident Coordinator Shombi Sharp.

The UN USG, Rosemary DiCarlo, Vice President of the National Assembly, Lena Nazaryan and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Zaruhi Batoyan shared their personal stories as well as highlighted the importance of women empowerment and their engagement in strengthening peace and security. The discussion was immediately followed by a reception.
