Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. 

 

The Secretary-General and the Minister discussed UN-Armenia cooperation and the situation in the South Caucasus. 

 

The Secretary-General expressed deep concern regarding the recent military escalation. He stressed the importance of strict adherence to the ceasefire. He underlined the United Nations’ support to all mediation efforts to reach long-standing peace in the region.
