Final Consultations on ADAMS

14 November 2024, Yerevan - The final consultations with the development partners on the Armenian Development Assistance Management System (ADAMS), a component of the EU funded initiative LEAD4Lori and Tavush project implemented by UNDP, took place at the UN Armenia House. 

ADAMS is a comprehensive web-based aid information management system owned and operated by the Government of Armenia. This centralized platform serves as a repository for crucial data about development projects and overall development assistance and aid programs within Armenia. The system is developed with Synergy International Systems being the implementing partner of ADAMS. 

“ADAMS is a transformative initiative in Armenia aimed at improving the transparency, accountability, and coordination of development support in the country, aligned with the government’s priorities and national development strategies. This is essential for an organized and efficient approach to development assistance, particularly given the commitments of the country to achieving the SDGs,” mentioned the UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia Francoise Jacob in the opening remarks. 

“I would like to emphasize that ADAMS represents a significant advancement in Armenia’s ability to manage and report on development efforts with transparency and efficiency. We are grateful to our partners and stakeholders for their continued support and look forward to ongoing collaboration as we bring this impactful platform to full implementation,” said Natia Natsvlishvili, UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia.

Ani Babayan, Adviser to Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Grigoryan highlighted the practical aspects of the platform underlining the functional purpose of the platform.  “Once it starts operating, ADAMS will enhance the development assistance coordination through centralized information management, along with displaying project activities by a number of variables including by sector, location, and partner, facilitating informed decisions on assistance allocations. transparency and accountability. The Government of Armenia is committed to ensuring the full functioning of the platform.”

The final presentation of ADAMS was made by Ani Babayan and Hovhannes Aghajanyan, Senior Project Manager at Synergy International Systems, followed by questions and answers from event attendees. 

The event was attended by the representatives from the Government, local and international organizations, members of relevant UN agencies and other stakeholders.
